Several new features and updates have been happening around the Frogstar offices this year. This newsletter will help you keep up to date on what features are now available to you as a Frogstar client.

NEW VIRUS PRE-SCANNING

Starting in 2002, Frogstar now offers a new service to our clients. By request, we can install this feature for your domain. All incoming and outgoing mail will be scanned for virus infections. If the messages contain a virus, the message is quarantined, and you are alerted with a return email. This feature is a great way to help assure your home or office remains virus free, without having to worry about keeping your own personal virus software always up-to-date.

SPAM FILTERS

SPAM is the coined term that refers to “junk” email that arrives in your IN mailbox unsolicited. As an additional option, you can also request a new feature which allows all email to be filtered for SPAM. You can have the offending email deleted before it gets to you, or stored in a separate mailbox for you to evaluate and delete at your leisure. SPAM filtering can reduce the amount of unwanted email by a huge percentage.

SITE STATISTICS http://stat.frogstar.com

As an option of your Frogstar hosting, there is an elaborate system of statistics available for web activity. This includes detailed usage numbers, as well as demographics, referring web sites, search engine effectiveness and other helpful options. Statistics can be viewed online at any time, or mailed to you in a summary report either daily, weekly or monthly. For more information on our STATS server, call for details or send us an email. ONLINE WEB MAIL http://mail.frogstar.com

Many of our clients still seem unaware that your email can be read online from a web page. This means you can quickly check your email from any Internet connected computer in the world. It’s ideal for checking your mail while on vacation, or a business trip abroad. All you need is your email address and personal password.

NEW INTERFACE: If you have not seen the online mail system recently, you should check it out. It’s all new for 2002 with a greatly enhanced and beautiful new design. You can even select your own personal style from among several pretty themes.

MORE MAIL OPTIONS

In addition to reading your mail, and composing new messages, the online web mail interface also offers you some enhanced email handling features. You can create mail forwarding rules and auto-reply “vacation” messages. Working almost like an answering machine, your system can be configured to auto-reply to incoming email with a personal message like; “I am away from my computer till October 15th. Don’t expect any replies till then.”
