Winter 2003

Some exciting changes at Frogstar this year.  This newsletter keeps you up to date.
We hope you have a happy and successful Holiday season that continues to the new year.
TWO MOVES ARE BETTER THAN ONE

This November we moved the Frogstar offices back to the city of Toronto, and also moved our server room to a more secure and faster server room downtown Toronto.  You probably won’t notice the new server changes, but they made a huge difference to the way we are able to access our servers after hours, and we also upgraded the software during the down time.  We’re happy to report both moves were completed with minimal inconvenience.

Our new office mailing address is now:

NEW ACCOUNTING
With the move comes a change in associate staff as well.  Frogstar welcomes Dave Berman to our team as on-site technician, trainer, database programmer and book keeper.  You'll immediately notice our invoices and statements are changing.  You'll also notice we've started sending reminder statements for payments that are past due.

Please keep in mind that Frogstar is a small friendly company.  Our clients choose us because they enjoy the fast and personal support we can offer.  By supporting us with prompt payment, you contribute towards server costs, storage, co-location fees, and of course, personally support your Frogstar Team.

We love what we do, but we need you.

YOU AND YOUR COMPUTER
November and December have been busy months for on-site service visits.  We've been finding more evil VIRUS, SPAM and SPYWARE activity every month.

With the holiday season comes extra email marketing, more deceptive advertising campaigns, extra electronic greeting cards, more pop up messages, and fake invoice scams.

Hackers and virus creators have mastered their craft, even learning how to defeat the anti-virus programs.  If you're assuming you have Norton or McAfee keeping your system safe, you're wrong. They don't catch all your threats.  Keeping your system current with updates and security patches are more vital in today's world than ever before.

Although Frogstar email is checked for incoming viruses, you need to keep your computer protected and updated as well.  New virus strains no longer require you to read an email or open an attachment. They can infect your computer any time it is turned on.

We strongly encourage all of you to arrange your schedule for some system maintenance.  In a couple of hours, a Frogstar on-site technician can visit, locate the security updates and patches needed to prevent trouble on your system, and remove any unwelcome files already causing harm.  You shouldn't wait until your system crashes.

Give us a call at 416-580-3549 and we'll set a date.
